Spirit of the Rule

It is not possible to write or regulate individual rules which suit special individual needs, nor to predict unusual circumstances and situations. Therefore, the Spirit of the Rule shall grant the authority and responsibility for interpretation of the written rules to the Race Director or his assistant to interpret the unwritten rule, in the interest of fair competition. The Race Director’s interpretation of the unwritten rule shall be binding on the competitor.
